Humane in-home euthanasia:

When it is time to say our final farewells to our beloved pet, I offer humane in-home euthanasia.

This will likely be the hardest decision of your life. It was for me, and you can read about my personal experience and other stories

The pet is usually most comfortable at home with familiar sounds, smells, and friends. It is my personal belief that this is the best way to honor your pet’s life.  You are able to invite whomever you want, create a ritual or ceremony so they can pass over peacefully.

What to expect?

I typically give them a couple of injections, both anesthetics to remove all pain.  The first injection will take the edge off, decrease stress, and usually make them immobile. The second injection will render them completely unconscious and stop the heart. In most cases, they look like they’re falling into a deep slumber.  However, there are some that have involuntary movements of the body and/or release themselves that I can never predict. Either way, I will be there the whole way to counsel you and make sure you are doing what is best for you and your pet.

Aftercare Options

Private cremation: Ashes returned to you with a paw print and hair clipping. Choices of the urn will be provided prior to services rendered.  Upon receiving the ashes, I will personally deliver them back to you.

Communal cremation: indicates that the body is taken to the crematorium and ashes spread to sea, the ashes are NOT returned to you.
